The Collegiate Commons Conference was held on January 6–8 at Highland Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. Through our connection with Drew Humphrey, the Next Gen/College Pastor at Highland Baptist, I was invited to deliver the Message of Repentance to the student body. Through the faithful leadership of the student ministry pastors, the environment was ripe for the students to receive the message.
As I was speaking, one student stood up without a microphone and began to call out, stating that he needed to repent. His boldness began to stir the other students and one by one they too began to repent. We truly are seeing works worthy of repentance on the college campuses.
Collegiate Day of Prayer — Revival Roundtable
Liberty University hosted the 2026 Collegiate Day of Prayer (CDOP) on February 26, 2026. The evening featured prayer and worship, with a Revival Roundtable highlighting reports on spiritual movements among Gen Z. I had the privilege to speak on the Message of Repentance during one of the sessions and saw God minister to many hearts. Over the course of our time at Liberty, we connected with many like-minded believers for potential ministry partnerships and intern opportunities.
One story in particular was with Savannah, a Christian Ministries student at Liberty University. When Savannah was 13 years old, TTR was invited to her home town of Wausau, WI and she participated during the week of outreach. She read in Laura’s weekly prayer email that Caleb Tiede, one of our internship coordinators, and I would be traveling to Liberty for the CDOP and she made a point to find us. She went on to explain that the experience years ago on the outreach had been life changing and was part of her decision to major in Christian ministry. We then had the opportunity to talk to her about our internship and she has since applied for the summer intern program. God is faithful to produce fruit in our lives when we offer Him our tiny seeds of obedience.
Our Revival Roundtable group was invited to a private screening of the movie, “A Great Awakening.” It was about the preacher and revivalist George Whitefield and Benjamin Franklin. (I studied about George Whitefield when I was getting my doctorate.) As we entered the movie theater, Caleb and I stopped to talk with Michael - one of the employees. He was helping with the movie tickets. As God would have it…Michael decided to place his trust in Jesus! Yeah God!!
