Apostle Jesse O. Ugbem is one of the original Revive School leaders in Nigeria and also attended the Revive School Pastors Conference in the nation of Malawi when our team traveled there in June 2023. Late 2025, we received an invitation from Apostle Jesse to travel to Nigeria for a Pastors Conference and Crusade.
Joel Helmuth, TTR Team Member and Regional Director to Africa, along with fellow Team Member Caleb Tiede, accepted the invitation and traveled to Nigeria in early January. Their mission was to train and equip around 1500 pastors and lay people in the course of three days. They focused on the passage from John 15-17, teaching us to abide in Christ and how through remaining in Him we will produce much fruit in our lives.

Their time in Nigeria also included evening crusades for the surrounding villages. Joel and Caleb described kicking off the crusades at 7:00 pm and ending late into the night, with the last evening going well past midnight. They shared how the Lord moved in many ways with physical healings, encouraging prophecies and testimonies, and most importantly, many repented and gave their lives to Jesus.
The leadership in Nigeria are already praying into the next steps of how to reach more villages. They have realized that discipleship is almost nonexistent and find a real hunger from the pastors for more training and equipping in the area of discipleship and evangelism. They left them with a challenge to commit individually and as groups to a daily study of the Word through Revive School.
